On May 30, 19‑year‑old Shiloh, daughter of Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt, appeared at French designer Isabel Marant’s capsule collection launch event for NET‑A‑PORTER in Los Angeles. At the show, she helped present an original dance performance, where she was credited under a new name.
At the event, Shiloh chose to be presented as “Shi,” using this shorter version of her name in the choreography credits for the performance. The routine accompanied the song “Naïve” and featured dancers Keoni Rose and Tako Suzuki, highlighting her work behind the scenes as a choreographer.
Earlier, Shiloh had already taken steps to distance herself from her father’s surname on official documents. After filing a petition around her 18th birthday, a Los Angeles court approved changing her legal name to Shiloh Nouvel Jolie, removing “Pitt” from her last name.
Shiloh is one of six children of Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt, alongside Maddox, Pax, Zahara and twins Knox and Vivienne. Some of her siblings have also publicly used the surname Jolie alone in recent years, signaling their own identity choices.
Under the professional moniker “Shi Jolie,” she is beginning to build a profile connected to dance and choreography. This new name functions both as a streamlined public identity and as a nod to her mother’s surname.
“Shiloh hired her own lawyer and financed it herself, so Angie is unaware and cannot comment on it.”
Shiloh, now known professionally as Shi Jolie, is stepping into adulthood by legally dropping “Pitt” and presenting herself as a choreographer under a new, more independent name.
