The government has published the proposed statutory rates for maternity, paternity, adoption, shared parental, and sick pay effective from 2026-27.
Statutory Maternity Pay (SMP), Statutory Adoption Pay (SAP), and Statutory Shared Parental Pay (ShPP):

Statutory Sick Pay (SSP):
These rates apply for leave and absence episodes on or after 6 April 2026.
The minimum earnings threshold for eligibility to receive SMP, SAP, SPP, and ShPP will be set at £118 per week for 2026-27, comparable to 93% of the National Living Wage.
The weekly lower earnings limit for SSP eligibility remains at £132 per week.
