Latest News About Penarth’s small Welsh vineyard

Vale vineyard is a tiny vineyard where Bernard and Tanya Herbert planted their first vines in 1999. By 2001 all 10 acres were bearing fruit, with varieties including Madeleine Angevine and Pinot Noir, with Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier, and Chardonnay for sparkling wine. Due to lacking a winery, Three Choirs at Newent makes the wines. The site remains without its own winery, relying on external production.
