LeS Lions took part in AfroBasket a tradition of success, including DeSagana Diop-era squads. In 2025 AfroBasket, they finished third after beating Cameroon 98-72, extending the ongoing third-place streak in latest competitions. The team has also competed in the Olympics and World Championships, showing a strong continental and global presence. The Lions is overseen by the Fédération Sénégalaise De Basket-Ball, and continues to field talented rosters for future successes.
