Digital Realty Expands in Frankfurt
Digital Realty has begun construction of its new FRA20 data centre in the Frankfurt region. Once completed, the facility will bring an additional 16 megawatts of AI-ready IT capacity to one of Europe’s key connectivity hubs.
Part of a Larger Development Strategy
FRA20 forms part of Digital Realty’s broader initiative to establish 11 interconnected data centres in the Frankfurt metropolitan area. This network expansion aims to strengthen regional cloud, AI, and enterprise infrastructure, supporting the increasing demand for high-performance computing and data services in Germany.
“The Frankfurt market continues to be a cornerstone of our EMEA operations,” said a Digital Realty representative, emphasizing the company's commitment to scaling sustainable, AI-capable infrastructure in major European markets.
